Elisabetta is a leading computational physicist with the Machine Learning and Quantum Inspired Optimization Division at 1QBit. Her primary focus is on optimization, where she applies both quantum and classical solutions to real-life problems.
Elisabetta obtained her PhD from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich after working on the observation and modelling of high-redshift galaxies’ evolution at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics. She followed her career in astronomy with postdoctoral appointments at the University of British Columbia and Cardiff University, where she was involved in large extragalactic surveys.
Her love for Vancouver called her back to the West Coast, where she can enjoy some of her favourite things in life: the sea, beaches, woods, mountains, bears, blueberries, modern architecture, and foodie spots.
