Eric Drechsler

Machine Learning Scientist

Eric is a particle physicist working at the intersection of machine learning and quantum computing. He is driven by a deep curiosity about the nature of reality, has a fascination for artificial intelligence, and takes strong delight in solving complex problems. In his work at 1QBit, Eric currently explores the applications of cutting-edge machine learning algorithms on real-world client data.

Eric received his PhD in Particle Physics at the University of Göttingen for his research at CERN, where he measured properties of the elusive Higgs boson. As a postdoctoral fellow at Simon Fraser University, he explored applications of quantum machine learning to problems in high-energy physics.

In his free time, Eric can be found immersed in the natural surroundings of British Columbia pondering the mysteries of the multiverse.
