Machine Learning Researcher
Stanley holds a MSc degree in Computing Science from Simon Fraser University. His research focuses on resolving complexities in within-host strain diversity and drug resistance using optimization and machine learning. Prior to his arrival in Canada, Stanley spent four years in Hong Kong and obtained his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Hong Kong. During his studies at HKU, he spent some time working on research involving the design and analysis of online algorithms via primal-dual methods. Stanley enjoys playing music and has performed as a pianist/guitarist/drummer on several occasions during his undergraduate studies. Given his diverse background, Stanley enjoys eating Chinese cuisine (dim sum in particular) and Malaysian curry.
